At Hiawathia Floral Design Co., we believe that artistry and education go hand in hand. As floral designers, we’re always evolving—exploring new techniques, refining our craft, and pushing creative boundaries. So far in 2025 I have been fortunate to glean floristry knowledge from leaders in the floral industry that inspire me. In the past two months, I was thrilled to continue my floral education with Intrigue Designs, led by the renowned Sarah Campbell, and attend The Floral Hustle Installation Rockstar Workshop in Minnesota!

Sarah’s expertise in lush, grand floral installations and her bold approach to color align beautifully with my own vision for floral design. Her ability to transform spaces with flowers is nothing short of mesmerizing, and learning from her is both inspiring and invigorating.

Jeni Becht of The Floral Hustle utilizes her own distinct floral style at Green Goddess Floral by using a harmonious blend of boldness and natural beauty, creating memorable and personalized floral experiences for each client. Her style is characterized by artful, garden-inspired arrangements that seamlessly blend timeless elegance with personalized touches. Ive attended three workshops so far of her and time Im in awe of her innovative and fresh floral designs.

The Floral Hustle: A Minnesota Floral Experience

Attending The Floral Hustle in Minnesota is another exciting step in my journey. This event is known for its hands-on learning, real-world business strategies, and immersive floral experiences. It’s an incredible opportunity to refine my skills, gain fresh inspiration, and connect with fellow floral creatives who are just as passionate about the craft as I am.

Highlights from the Installation Rockstar Workshop:

• Floral Installations & Artistry: We learned advanced methods for creating large large-scale floral install and high-impact, Instagram-worthy design that elevates any event from weddings to corporate galas. These techniques will allow us to craft custom floral designs that reflect each client’s personal style and vision. One of the most exciting parts of the workshop was learning how to create floral installations that make a statement like the on trend serpentine table otherwise known as the cascading waterfall tablescape. This installation composed of more than 100 lush hydrangeas just elevate a tablescape to luxury level. We now have the tools to create this tablescape and the loveseat flower installation with expert mechanics and techniques.
• Seamless Execution: Another key takeway was how to execute these designs on game day with efficiency & team coordination strategies for seamless execution.
